XM Satellite Radio, the nation's leading satellite radio service with more than 5 million subscribers, and ABC News, which reaches more than 215 million Americans each month, announced today the launch of "The Good Morning America Radio Show," which will be broadcast exclusively on XM Satellite Radio starting January 23. The launch was announced live today on "Good Morning America" by the GMA anchors and their guest Hugh Panero, President and CEO of XM Satellite Radio. "The Good Morning America Radio Show," will feature Diane Sawyer, Charles Gibson and Robin Roberts along with radio personality Hilarie Barsky. "The 'Good Morning America Radio Show' will bring the best of GMA to millions of XM subscribers nationwide -- the news and features both from our television program and produced specifically for radio. We are pleased to join with XM to make GMA available to new radio audiences, as well as our regular audiences who want even more from the program each and every day," said David Westin, President, ABC News.
"The Good Morning America Radio Show" debuts on January 23 and will air Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm ET on Take Five (XM Channel 155), a talk and lifestyle channel for women launched by XM earlier this year. ABC's enormously popular "Good Morning America" offers an engaging mix of news, features, weather, and special interest stories with anchors Charles Gibson, Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts live and direct from its Times Square studios in New York City to loyal fans across the country.
