CALYPSO Description: True Portability
From the home to the car to the family picnic, Clarion’s new Calypso “Plug & Play” receiver is what true portability is all about. For home to car transportability, just pop the Calypso into Clarion’s CLCK car kit and CLHK home kit. But that’s not all, as Clarion offers a new Sirius “Boombox,” which allows users to listen to Sirius’s 120 channels of satellite radio entertainment at the park, beach, or at that backyard BBQ. The “Boombox” also offers an internal amplifier to ensure great sound, and allows users to detach the speakers for better music range.

With 120 channels of entertainment to choose from, finding what you want may seem like a tough task. Not with Clarion’s new Calypso. Outfitted with Clarion’s S-Seek feature, Calypso will prompt users when one of their pre-selected favorite songs is playing on any one of Sirius’ 65 channels of music entertainment. Calypso also features 30 presets, and easy-to-use rotary knob for channel navigation, as well as a category, artist and music title scan. With so much CD-quality content to choose from, with Calypso, you’re sure to find what you want.

Calypso not only provides users with top-notch entertainment, but this unit is truly an attractive piece with its compact design, piano-like finish, and techno-blue styling. The unit also sports a compact design, which, when loaded into the home and car kits, allows for a host of mounting options. The 128x48 Dot Matrix Graphic Positive Display also adds to the aesthetics, as well as the functionality of this portable unit. The display not only offers to font size for users to choose from, but Calypso also scrolls artist, song and station titles across the screen.
