Coverage varies based on the surface's porosity and absorption. If your room wall square footage is 600 square feet you will need 1,200 square feet of lime wash paint for two coats so you would buy a 3.5 gallon This is a natural mineral based material and slight variations will occur from batch to batch. Conditions such as humidity and porosity variations in the surface can also impact the color uniformity. We highly recommend to order 15-20% more paint than you need and order the full amount for your entire project. This ensures you have enough from the same batch and plenty left for future touch-ups in the same batch. Be sure to box the paint together making a single batch before application. Each color card is 5 x 8 and hand painted with Mineral Prime + 2 coats of one color of Limewash Paint applied. These cards show texture / tonal variations and are ideal to order when deciding between a few colors since they show the actual lime paint color hand painted onto the card. Lime Slurry is a mineral additive to be added into Lime Wall Paint to achieve desired textures. JH Lime Slurry is a mineral filling aggregate for JH Lime Wall Paint when a thicker consistency is desired for application by roller, trowel or brush. Lime Slurry contains compatible silicates of different grain shape and size in a well-balanced composition. It is added to Lime Wall Paint to thicken the mixture. This mixture may be used to adjust or minimize differences in texture of the substrate or to create various decorative texture effects. Lime Slurry may be used for interior or exterior projects. A good starting point is 2 parts lime wash with 1 part slurry. You can always add in more slurry. If you have added too much slurry you can always add more lime wash and/or water to get your preferred consistency.
